The Siberian Elm Ulmus pumila cultivar 'Dropmore' [1] is a fast-growing bushy form producing small leaves, and is considered cold-hardy well into Canada. The tree was grown from seed collected by F. L. Skinner, of Dropmore, Manitoba, in Harbin, China [2]. In the elm trials [3] conducted by the Northern Arizona University at Holbrook, it did not perform well in the arid, hot climate.
