When you create or find a new article within the scope of Project UK Railways please add {{UKT}} to the top of the articles talk page. There are a few optional parameters which allow the project to further classify the article for easier improvement:

  • The parameter class adds the article to categories based on its assessment. Use stub, start, B, GA, A or FA for normal articles. Use list, dab, cat, NA, template or image for other articles. See the assessment team for full details on these ratings.
  • The parameter importance adds the article to categories based on it's importance. Use top, mid, low, none. See The importance scale for details of these ratings.
  • The parameter photo adds the article to the category Category:Wikipedia_requested_UK Rail photographs if there are no photo's on the article. Use needs if the article needs at least one photo, yes if the article has at least one photo or na if the article does not require a photo.
  • The parameter map adds the article to the category Category:UK Rail articles needing maps if the article needs a map. Use needs if the article needs a map, yes if the article has a map or na if the article does not require a map.
  • The parameter ibox adds the article to the category Category:UK Rail articles needing an infobox if the article needs an infobox. Use needs if the article needs an infobox, yes if the article has an infobox or na if the article does not require an infobox.
  • The parameter stats adds the article to the category Category:UK Rail articles needing stats if the article needs statistical information. Use needs if the article needs statistical information, yes if the article has statistical information or na if the article does not require statistical information.
  • The parameter nested is used to nest the banner and should be left blank unless needed.
