The UK Entertainemnt Channel is an Internet Television channel based on the Isle of Wight. Programming started on 31 December 2007[1]. It's launch followed on from the collapse of Solent TV, previously transmitted from the Rowridge transmitter on the Isle of Wight on UHF channel 54 (735.25 MHz). It should be noted that Solent TV ceased broadcasting more than six months after UK Entertainment's incorporation. It is not currently broadcast, but is due to be available via Internet Set-top boxes on Play TV[2].

Currently, all programmes are recorded, and the channel has no studio facilities. However, they are interested in eventually covering local news for the Isle of Wight and Solent areas, similar to Solent TV. The channel was in evidence at the 2008 Isle of Wight Jazz Festival, as they were filming concerts on the main stage at the Winter Gardens[3].
