I would like to say I was a punk in the 80s and I never heard of ANYTHING called UK82 till I started reading the internet recently!!! We called it HARDCORE!! Looks like the Hardcore Punk artical has been taken over by US hardcore...!!

Hi, One of the wierd things about life is that music critics can invent new names for music, and then their new name can become more widely-used that the names actually used when a music was being first written and recorded. The same thing happens in films, as well. In the 1940s, no directors thought "I'm going to make a film noir movie". They thought "I'm gonna make a low-budget gangster thriller" or "I'm gonna make a detective flick about a lonely, bitter ex-cop". But decades later, film critics decided that all these movies were film noir movies.OnBeyondZebrax (talk) 19:04, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
