Talk:Uganda under Idi Amin

[edit] Lede
This article has absolutely no lede. It was clearly lopped off of an article which was getting too long with little attempt to make it into a stand-alone article. This could be fixed with a solid lede summarizing the rest of the article. If anyone feels like they have a good grasp of the content, it'd be awesome if they wrote a lede. [edit] GSU?
What does GSU stand for (3rd paragraph)? - Ccrrccrr 03:13, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- GSU (the General Service Unit) was an intelligence agency of the Obote Government. It was replaced by Idi Amin's State Research Bureau. I have clarified this in the article. --Ezeu 03:25, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Illiterate?
The Library of Congress article, from which this Wikipedia article is copied, states that Idi Amin was illiterate. On the other hand, the Idi Amin article says he excelled at reciting the Quran. There is no attribution for the Quranic studies, nor is it clear that memorization of the Quran is through reading the text, or through memorizing others' recitations. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 14:48, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
