[edit] Rationale of fair use in the articles Idi Amin and Uganda

The image Uganda-Amin-10-Shillings-cr.jpg is being linked here; though the original picture may be copyrighted. I Ezeu feel it is covered by fair use because:

  1. Images of this Shilling note appear in multiple print and electronic media, including websites, books, ensigns etc. printed by the Ugandan Government and other publications in Uganda and internationally – without copyright information
  2. The image depicts a historically significant person
  3. The image is a scan of an obsolete Ugandan bank note with historical value
  4. The image is important to the article, providing an image of Idi Amin
  5. There are no known free or public domain photographs of Idi Amin.
  6. This image does not limit the rights of the copyright owners, if such do exist, to distribute the original image in any way.
  7. The image is used for non-profit and informational purposes only.
