Le logo de de l'Union des forces progressistes (UFP) a été conçu par Christian Montmarquette et Jocelyne Desautels.

Ce logo est à l'éfigie et aux couleurs du drapeau des Patriotes (vert blanc et rouge) et aux couleurs de l'écologisme (vert) du pacifisme (blanc) et du socialisme (rouge). Le logo de l'UFP a été créé en septembre 2001 et adopté une première fois de manière temporaire pour les élections complémetaires et définitivement adopté à l'unanimité le 19 octobre 2002 par le Conseil national de l'Union des forces progressistes)(UFP).

Christian Montmarquette à été candidat de l'Union des forces progressistes dans la circonscription électotrale de Laporte en 2003 et est un des membres fondateur de l'Union des forces progressistes et de Québec solidaire.
