UFA, Inc. is a software engineering firm providing Air Traffic Control simulation technologies to civil aviation, military, university, and commercial clients worldwide. Established in 1985, UFA is privately owned and operated with headquarters in Woburn, Massachusetts, and local offices in Gaithersburg, Maryland, as well as Mainz and Kaufbeuren, Germany. In the United States, UFA's simulation technology is used as part of such nationwide programs such as the FAA Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS), and the FAA En-Route Automation Modernization program (ERAM). Customers in Europe include Luchtverkeersleiding Nederland (LVNL), Deutsche Flugisherung (DFS), and European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol).
