UEFA Cup Winners' Cup 1960-61

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The season 1960-61 of the Cup Winners' Cup football club tournament was won by ACF Fiorentina in two-legged final victory against Rangers F.C.. This was the first season that the tournament took place for the winners of each European country's domestic cup, and was the only one to be decided in a two-legged final. Only ten sides entered the competition, partially due to the tournament not being seen as important as the European Cup, and also because many countries at that point did not have a regularly played domestic cup competition.
