[edit] Kievan Russian?
As far as I know there is no such thing as Kievan Russians, a term frequently used in the article. Kievan Rus was the name of a state founded and for a long time lead by Scandinavians, with Kiev as its capital, hence the Rus in the name, Rus (in Swedish Ruser) being the name most commonly used in eastern Europe to describe ethnic Scandinavians aka Vikings (the name most probably stemming from the region of Roslagen, the coastal area of Sweden north of Stockholm).
