HONDA vs Athlete/Chevrolet

Hey, I think it's important to note the difference between these two awards. The Honda award is voted on by the media, and is the award that Dempsey just won recently. It's considered to be the more prestigious of the two. There's also the US Soccer Male Athlete of the Year award, which is given out by the USSF and includes 50% fan voting and 50% media/US soccer officials voting. That one is sponsored by Chevrolet.

Dempsey won the Honda; as far as I know he did not win this award. Last year this award was given out to Kasey Keller in December, so look for this year's edition to be given out next month. I also believe that there isn't a page for the Honda award here on Wikipedia, so that needs to be taken care of. Here's a list of some previous winners of that one. --Scaryice 13:11, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
