Tyondai Braxton is an American musician and the son of jazz musician Anthony Braxton. Ty grew up in Northern California and Middletown, CT (his father taught at Wesleyan). He studied composition at The Hartt School of the University of Hartford.
He is currently signed to Warp Records, both as a solo artist and as a member of the band Battles. He has also worked with Prefuse 73 and Parts & Labor, among others.
