This template is for the succession of members of the Texas House of Representatives.

All fields must be lowercase.
Copy a blank version to use. Remember to use the "|" (pipe) character between each field. Please delete any unused fields to avoid clutter in the edit window.

- district: Senate district number.
- hometown: Optional. Helpful, if known, since Texas Senate district numbers and numbering systems have often changed dramatically. The template will create the wikilink for the town.
- before: previous officeholder
- after succeeding officeholder. If omitted, template will insert Incumbent
- start: for incumbent, beginning date
- years: date range. For consistency with other succession templates use YEAR–YEAR (no spaces around an en dash).
- town_note_marker: a marker for noting a change in hometown. (See example below.)
