[edit] Image Usage

I suspect that this logo as being used, is a copyright violation. I suggest that the person placing in into Wikipedia obtain permission in a similar fashion as was done for the United Methodist logo. Pollinator 03:15, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

I am the publication coordinator for my local Wesleyan church, and therefore I have permission to use the logo in our church publications (i.e., bulletins, news releases, etc. as the need arises). Do I need to obtain other permission or is this OK? J newkirk 04:48, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

I believe that Wesleyan churches and affiliated organizations, by the nature of their affiliation, are covered under the copyright notice; assuming the actual intended usage is in accordance with The Wesleyan Church copyright notice, of course. Recently I contacted the Director of Media at The Wesleyan Church because I wanted to create a The Wesleyan Church UserBox. He reviewed my request and provided me with the download instructions. My perception is that as long as the image is used properly and within the usual and customary guidelines for trademarked/copyrighted logos, it is okay to use. JimScott 16:51, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image Filename change

The issue I have is with the file name used. It should be "TWCLogobw.jpg" since the "TWC" is actually the initials of the organization. The original file name started with "TWC" so I can only assume the letter "C" was lost in the image shrinking process somewhere. I am a newbie though and do not have a handle on how to change these things ... which should be done ASAP if at all since presently the image is only being used in one place; ie, it would be REAL easy to fix NOW as opposed to later.
