Twitten
An old Sussex word for a path or alleyway, which is still in common use.[1] It is used in both East and West Sussex.)
The word is also in common use in the architectually important, London residential area known as Hampstead Garden Suburb. Twittens run in abundance between the Suburb's beautiful streets. The "Suburb" is located in North West London, England, approximately 7 miles from the centre of London. It was founded in 1907 by Dame Henrietta Barnett and is internationally recognised as one of the finest examples of early twentieth century domestic architecture and town planning, as well as being home to approximately 13,000 people. If you would like to know more about the Suburb including a photographic survey of its beautuiful streets, houses and green spaces, then take a look at [1]
