Twenhofel Middle School is a middle school in Independence, Kentucky. The current principal is Cheryl Jones. The current vice principals are Dwight Smith and Dwayne Humphrey. The mascot is the Thoroughbred. TMS is the first environmentally friendly school in Kentucky and is the poster middle school for Kentucky.

The land that Twenhofel Middle School is currently located on was donated by William Twenhofel. The land was part of his fathers farm that he wished be used for the education of middle school students in Kenton County.
