Tvbay
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
tv-bay was established in 2004 as a central location to buy and sell professional broadcast equipment. Before tv-bay if a user of professional broadcast equipment was looking to buy an item (new or used) then they would search the back pages of various trade magazines in order to find the item.
tv-bay provides categories such as broadcast cameras, vtrs, character generators, vision mixers, filters, matte boxes, lenses, tripods etc so someone searching for an item can quickly locate it.
It was designed so the user can fully interact with it and anything added is immediately viewable on the site. All contacts are sent directly to the seller of the item by an email form and there are also sections for Broadcast Hire, Wanted and Broadcast Industry Jobs.
In 2006 a magazine was produced which is now one of the leading independent broadcast equipment guides and is circulated to approx 10,000 readers each month. The magazine[1] includes feature stories, kit tests, user reviews, product launches as well as 1000's of items for sale in category order.
