[edit] Summary
Turner High School is located in Kansas City, Kansas in Unified School District 202 in the Turner District. It dates back to the 1920's and is still one of the most popular schools in the district. It is currently the only high school of Turner. Turner High School used to be located in the building which is now Turner Rec, and moved a new building in the 1950s which now houses Turner Middle School. In the late 1990s a bond issue was proposed to build a new high school facility. It passed and a new Turner High School was built soon after in 2001 on a piece of land that was once a farm. The farm was torn down and within 3 years, the new Turner High School was born.
