≥ TUNKA MANIN

            Tunka manin was king of the empire Ghana.  His empire was visited by Muslim writing. He ruled Ghana around 1068. Tunka was nephew of the previous king, he was named basi. The property in Ghana did not pass from father to son; it was passing from uncle to nephew. Only the king’s sister’s sons could become kings.  
          Tunka manin was a great king of the empire of Ghana during the 11th Century. Tunka Manin expanded the power of the empire by dominating the salt trade. Arab historian albakri describes Tunka Manin as controlling an army of 200,000 warriors, including 40,000 archers. Ghana began to decline in late 1000s.
           The empire of Ghana reached its commands under the king tunka manin. This king had diplayed  the vast wealth of the empire.
