[edit] Who is this?

Is the Tamerlane 's father? Or Tamerlane himself? Or who? Abberley2 15:06, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

On the basis of Chagatai Khanate, it seems he was neither. Abberley2 15:10, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Timur?

I have removed a speedy delete tag with the reasoning "Much bigger and better article, titled Timur already exists, referring to the same person. Merge template removed several times."

That article refers to "..the energetic Jagataite Tughlugh Timur of Kashgar, another descendant of Genghis Khan.." whom THAT Timur fought against. Suggesting that this is NOT the same person. --Stormie 06:25, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mistake! I'm partly to blame.

The Merge and Speedy deletion tags were unnecessary. I was mainly mislead by the facts:

"He tried to rebuild the empire of his idol Genghis Khan. He viciously attacked Persia, India, and the Ottoman Turks. He died while marching on China." These were what Timur (not Tughlugh Timur) did. Thanking You, AltruismTo talk 07:06, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
