Tuf tuf club

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Tuf Tuf Club are a Dutch Group of driving fanatics whose purpose in life is to remove the speed cameras of the Netherlands using entertaining methods. They have been made famous by Jeremy Clarkson on BBC2's QI in 2005, after he referred to a stunt in which a hole in the back of a speed camera was filled with expanding foam, which expanded, subsequently causing the camera to fly apart. He found this while doing a five-part documentary about Europe named Jeremy Clarkson Meets The Neighbours in 1995. This Part appears in the second episode - The Belgiums & The Dutch.

The Tuf Tuf Club derives it's name from an episode of the popular Suske & Wiske comics.

Alas the Tuf-Tuf Club site has gone down (www.tuf-tufclub.com/English) Nevertheless there are some excellent examples of this kind of handiwork along the roadsides of the south east.
