[edit] Name

I have been trying to sort out the name of this village from User talk:Solitude, User talk:JMHutson, User talk:129.234.4.10, and other sources. This OS map gives Tudhoe, as does the Gazetteer of British Place Names. But then there are ambiguous sources like Sedgefield Borough Council which has both, and quite a few Google matches for "Tudhoe Village". I wonder if the word "village" is added to locally to avoid confusion with nearby Tudhoe Grange. The question is whether this is universal and no one calls it Tudhoe except official-type people who produce maps but don't actually live there. I think ideally we should be using the official name. Any comments? — Trilobite (Talk) 21:29, 28 Nov 2004 (UTC)

I have looked into this again and concluded that the article is best moved to Tudhoe. Alas, someone has edited the redirect. If an admin reads this could they please do the honours. Thanks. — Trilobite (Talk) 04:35, 28 Dec 2004 (UTC)
