[edit] Boycott
I don't think that this alleged boycott information belongs on the main page, especially since:
- The show hasn't yet been legally released in North America
- These "boycotts" rarely (if ever) do anything that affects the actual sales of a show
- While there are many people who use AnimeSuki, the number of people who do not is likely 10-20 times as large, so a "boycott" is just absurd
After reading the entire thread ([1]), All I can see is about 10 people who are upset and threatening a boycott. Even if they each got 10 of their friends to participate, that would still only be 110 people out of tens of thousands. The boycott information does not belong on the main page. --nihon 22:48, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
- I agree; I can't find any evidence that there is any significant controversy here. Some fans are upset about something a company has done, and other fans in the same threads are telling them not to be silly: business as usual in anime fandom. As it stands, I can't even find anyone proposing a boycott. — Haeleth Talk 23:17, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
-
- If you go to the Funimation forums, you can find a thread or two with several people stating their intentions to no longer buy Funimation products as a result. Xuanwu 05:09, 10 December 2005 (UTC)

- Well, like I stated above, just because "several" people on one internet forum have stated their intention not to buy something, it does not mean that everyone (or even a statistically significant number of people) are going to do likewise. Unless Funimation totally biffs it on the release (which is unlikely given the decent job they've been doing on recent releases), this will just disappear into the forgotten and unimportant footnotes of history. --nihon 18:14, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] 2nd Season
I heard on a forum that a 2nd season of moon phase started recently. Could someone verify and maybe update this article if that is true? --71.107.217.63 19:32, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Needing references
Salvages parts from the previous lead that needs references (struck out parts are already referenced):
- The manga and anime are well known for the Gothic Lolita design of the main character. The anime is also known for its opening theme, Neko-mimi Mode
(lit. Cat-ears Mode), performed by French Shibuya-kei artist Dimitri from Paris. On a side note, "Neko-mimi Mode" has already become a catch-phrase among otaku, especially the loli-moé crowd.
- The manga is serialized in Japan, releasing one chapter per monthly issue in the Comic Gum magazine and with Wani Books having published 11 volumes to date, as the story in the manga has not given any signs yet to end soon.
English translation of the Tsukuyomi - Moon Phase manga has been licensed by TokyoPop with the first three volumes now in release.
I am also unable to confirm if the series was broadcasted on TV Osaka.

[edit] Separation
Separate the Main Characters from Minor Characters. You should also start adding screen shots of the characters if possible.
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Moon Phase(phase1).jpg
Image:Moon Phase(phase1).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Episode 26: A joke episode?
I just watched Episode 26 and it seems like it was a joke episode. The series concluded on episode 25, so it kind of makes sense. Fangz the Wolf 00:59, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, pretty much a joke, "gaiden" episode. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 05:40, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

- I've been thinking this for a while - shouldn't we list episode 26 as an OVA? I mean, that's pretty much what it was right? --Eruhildo 16:08, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
-
-
- No, because it was broadcast just the same as the rest of the series. Since OVA means "Original Video Animation", listing it as such would be incorrect. We could put a note in which states that the episode is a side story having nothing to do with the rest of the series, though. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 19:02, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

- That sounds good. I never knew it was broadcast though. I'm pretty sure the article doesn't mention that either. --Eruhildo 20:44, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

- Well, it's an episode, so it makes sense that it was broadcast...<does some research really quick>...hmm...looks like it was an OVA released on the 13th DVD in Japan. So yes, calling it an OVA would be fine. Guess I was wrong. (^_^;; ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 22:01, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

- Episode 26 isn't so much an OVA as it is an Omake of the TV series. So I really don't think including it in a separate the OVA infobox is appropriate. I also think that because it was not released separately from the TV series, it wouldn't qualify as an OVA. --Farix (Talk) 00:23, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

- True, but what do we list it as then? Putting it down as just a normal episode is kind of deceptive since it didn't air and has nothing to do with the main plot. I think it should at least be separated from the main list of episodes. --Eruhildo 01:09, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

- (unindent) I don't see the need to separate it from the other episodes on the list. The only thing that needs to be adjusted is to state that it is an omake episode in the description. --Farix (Talk) 12:49, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] iTunes?
Should we mention that this anime is down loadable on Itunes? Fangz the Wolf 04:26, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Several anime titles are becoming available through iTunes lately. But I really don't think it is worth mentioning any more then it isn't worth mentioning which anime titles are available at Wal-Mart. I also think it would cross the line of promoting iTunes. --Farix (Talk) 12:53, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

- I agree. --Eruhildo 22:29, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
