IMHO, the article should be renamed. The word "zachistka" is not immediately understandable to non-Russian speakers. "Zachistka" is not as recognizable as "perestroika", so it has to be replaced. KNewman 04:20, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Zachistka in Tsotsin-Yurt → Tsotsin-Yurt operation— Once again, the word "zachistka" is not immediately understandable to non-Russian speakers. "Zachistka" is not as recognizable as "perestroika", so it has to be replaced. KNewman 07:23, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

It's close but support. Zachistka has yet to enter English enough to warrant the term as a title (note the lack of a Wikipedia article on the topic although one is needed.) And even in Russian, zachistka has a range of meanings. Also support the move of Zachistka in Borozdinovskaya for the same reason. — AjaxSmack 01:48, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Any additional comments:

The official name for zachistka is either "passport check operation" or a "special operation". Maybe the word should be defined on Wikipedia. Literally, it's (of course) "cleansing", but it's an informal word.

The Western term is either "security sweep" or a "cleansing operation". --HanzoHattori 08:37, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
