Trump World's Fair at Trump Plaza was a hotel and casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey that was 280 feet and 21 floors in height. It had 500 guest rooms. It opened in 1986 as the Playboy Hotel and Casino, then changed its name to Atlantis Hotel and Casino. The casino's gaming license was revoked on July 4, 1989 and the hotel was then renamed the Trump Regency. It changed its name again to the Trump World's Fair at Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino. It was permanently closed in October 1999 and torn down in 2000 despite being only 14 years old. The hotel had major problem(s), they filled the pool and the water went down to other levels. So guest were told to use the cross walk above the main entrance of Boardwalk Hall and use Trump Plaza pool. The poperty was to be replaced by a new hotel, but that is when Trump started to have financial troubles and was sold at auction to Bruce Toll of Toll Brothers and the money went to shareholders of Trump Entertainment Resorts.
