Why should this be merged? It's a decent generic name for a legal field, whereas a trust and an estate are separate concepts. The article might need improvement, but I don't think merging it is the answer. --Michael Snow 00:16, 31 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Trusts and estates is a common term for the field of law dealing with the transmission of wealth. As such, the subject covers more than "trust" or "estate" alone. --Michael Snow 22:48, 1 Apr 2004 (UTC)
