[edit] Official crest
As previously said, this is the OFFICIAL SCHOOL CREST of P.E. Trudeau H.S. It is NOT on the school's website because the webmaster DOES NOT have a copy of the school crest to upload, and the general content of the website has been outdated for a very long time. I have the permission to upload this image by the creator, S. Fung. I am not attempting to vandalize this article as this IS the official school crest. DO NOT DELETE IT. I find it very unlikely that the school's website, to which was last updated "Last Updated: September 19, 2006" as per the bottom of the page, would not have the school logo listed, and even if it didn't, what appears to be a high school student from that school has it. Not only do they have it, but they designed it or have the permission by the person. The question of whether you have the rights to it or not is not in question since its a logo, but that it truly is the school's logo and if its not then should not be on Wikipedia as its used in no articles. Unless you have a reference that meets Wikipedia's notability criteria, it cannot be accepted. The nature of the logo particularly looks to be 'unofficial'. Not also to mention that this image has been deleted in the past and that this is a repost.Langara College 03:38, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
A Google Image Searh: Pierre Elliott Trudeau High School shows no found pages where this image appears. Since its a digital image I find this strong evidence its not the true school's logo. If it is, why would the webmaster not have it... He's the webmaster. Langara College 03:39, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
In response:
Unfortunately, it is also clearly evident that the school's website is in poor shape, and the supposed updates were only pertaining to school events. And we musn't forget the fact that not everything from a school has to be published on the Internet. The only reason why the school crest is not on the website is because the webmaster (whom I knew personally) did not obtain a copy of the school crest from the school's administration (of whom the school crest was officially given to). Let's be honest, unless you yourself were a student at Trudeau H.S., then you wouldn't know what the school's crest would actually look like. Now, if the school crest was uploaded onto the Pierre Elliott Trudeau High School article and if it was not contested by anyone (from Trudeau), then it is obviously the school's actual crest. I believe this article is visited by Trudeau students on a regular basis and they are fully aware of the design of the school's crest as it is proliferated everywhere. If you wish, you may contact Mr. N. Bolden (webmaster) yourself and ask him to verify that Trudeau_crest.jpg is indeed the school crest of Pierre Elliott Trudeau High School. Thank you.
