Hi Troy, welcome to Wikipedia. I've been doing some editing of the holographic storage section you added to Holography. Couple of questions:

• I'm thinking of moving the bulleted section to photorefractive effect, which we don't yet have an article on. What do you think?
• For the second bullet, you write and electrons can be promoted from the valence band to the conduction band of the material. I though electrons got promoted from impurity levels (inside the bandgap) to the c.b., but I'm no expert. Can you clear this up?

[edit] Verdet constant

You've given the Verdet constants in units of rad T^-1 although it should be something like rad T^-1 m^-1. Please give us the correct units. 193.171.121.30 01:16, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)
