[edit] London Mayor

Please don't change the London article to say that Boris Johnson is the mayor until the results have been announced. Whether or not he wins, he's not the mayor at the moment, so it should stay as Ken Livingstone in the article. Cordless Larry (talk) 20:38, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

The evening standard has already declared the result. So, OK, Ken is technically the major for the next few hours - but it seems a little pedantic.--Troikoalogo (talk) 21:35, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

It might seem pedantic, but this is an encyclopedia so accuracy is important. Plus, I'm not sure when the next term starts so Ken may well still be mayor for a while even if he loses the elction. Cordless Larry (talk) 21:36, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Actually, could you revert your own edit? I've reverted that article three times today and don't want to fall foul of WP:3RR. You just need to go to the article history and hit the undo link. Cordless Larry (talk) 21:41, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Never mind, another editor has got there first. By the way, don't take my comments to mean that you should be put off editing London, or any other article. You might just like to take a look at WP:NOTCRYSTAL, but other than that, happy editing! Cordless Larry (talk) 22:33, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
