Troy Thompson (guitarist)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Troy Thompson is an American guitarist. In 1983, he and his brother Dale Thompson, created the band Bride, which still continues to record and tour around the world. He is notable as being one of the most popular guitarists in the Christian music industry, and along with Dale Thompson, the only other member of the Christian Metal band, Bride that has stayed since its conception.[1] He writes the majority of the music for the band, while Dale writes the lyrics. Troy also plays a wide variety of instruments which, of course, includes the guitar, bass guitar, violin, piano, drums, viola, and the standing bass. He has been mentioned by not only his brother, but also by some musicians, as "the most underrated guitarist and musical director in the industry."
