- March 6, 2000 - Cyclone Steve (pictured) reached its peak with a central pressure of 975 hPa (mbar) just before it made its third landfall in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Steve caused over $100 million of damage in Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia.
