Description

This image was captured by the GOES-10 satellite on September 17, 2005 at 1800 UTC. On the left, Tropical Storm Lidia swirls in the ocean next to a system that would absorb it and become Hurricane Max. Here, Lidia was at its peak intensity with winds of 40 mph (65 km/h) and a minimum pressure of 1005 mb.
