The giant disco ball outside gives some indication as to what you can expect beyond the scary door policy. Larger than life and favoured for nights out by such luminaries as Billie Piper and Martine McC, Sugar Reef is pricey, over the top and very Pacific Rim [1]

Sugar Reef, London's biggest restaurant, has opened in the West End accommodating 1,000 people. Chef Kenny Miller left before the opening and the new executive chef is Garry Hollihead [2]

It won’t wake you up in the morning with a soothing, mellifluous alarm tone; it won’t shine your shoes before that important 2nd interview; it won’t stop that attendant issuing your third parking ticket in as many weeks; it won’t assist you in completing level sodding(!) 3 of Grand Theft Auto; it won’t remind you to ring your Mum on Mother’s Day and then help you to think of a believable excuse when you don’t; it won’t tell you you’re making a big mistake in wearing those aqua-marine trousers with that yellow-patterned top; it won’t even stop you from writing the laziest bar review ever. But then, it is only a bar, so should you really expect it to? By concentrating on what it will do for you, the options become much more appealing: it’ll make you feel right at home in its large, comfortable sofas with a view of an open fire; it’ll give you a taste of the exotic thanks to Moroccan-copied veiled areas and staff with une richesse des accents sexy et étrangers; it will help you meet beautiful women as they inevitably topple down its steep staircase in high-heels, leaving you the thankful job of catching them (if you are a beautiful woman, be sure to wear high heels); it will entice and delight you with it’s £3 Happy Hour classic cocktails; it will even make you look like you’re the person to know, by roping off small alcoves in your name. It also has something called ‘Dynamic Dining’, which hopefully doesn’t refer to the vastness of a restaurant that is unlikely to fill; nor the Athena-surplus (circa 1985) artwork displayed on the walls; but perhaps DOES refer to the exuberantly-portioned yet deliciously delicate asparagus, artichoke, broad bean and basil cream pasta OR the chicken, Parma ham and mozzarella combo with yummy pesto potatoes, all for an affordable £10 a go on Friday nights. That’s dynamic. If the Fresh Prince of Bel Aire had been born and raised in Central London then this is where you would’ve found him “Chillin' out, maxin', relaxin’ all cool” [3]

This is London’s biggest restaurant with a capacity of 1000. The perfect late night venue for drinking and dancing until 1am. The new ‘South American Cuisine’ is perfect for groups of friends or colleagues whether a formal or informal celebration. The lower floor comprises of the Coral Bar, dance floor and exclusive Members bar. This floor also has a 50’s art deco miniature swimming pool. This is London’s sexiest and fashionable late night bar and restaurant [4]
