Trikuta mountain is the location of Fort Jaisalmer. Rawal Jaisal once hunted a deer here and found a sage who told him about a well on the mountain. This well contained a rock placed there by Shri Krishna himself saying arjuna that one day his descendants would come to this place and make a new capital. That rock still remains in the well on the jaisalmer fort. As said jaisal made a fort and the new city was named after his name jaisalmer. [1]
