Tricore

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

TriCore is the name of a multicore-processor design by Infineon Technologies.

According to its designers, TriCore is advantageous based on its 3-in-1 architecture consisting of a microcontroller, digital signal processor (imparting computational power), and reduced instruction set-based load-store computing system (with its improved price/performance ratio).

TriCore also includes a second peripheral control processor to handle data moving tasks and reducing the CPU load for simpler functions.

[edit] BEAM robotics

In BEAM robotics, TriCore is a Nv network loop-topology consisting of three Nv neurons. The circuit, comprised of a network of artificial neurons, is used to simulate the behavior of true neurons.
