Tricolore (ballet)

Tricolore is a ballet made by Peter Martins, Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux and Jerome Robbins, conceived and supervised by George Balanchine, New York City Ballet's founder and ballet master, to music by Georges Auric, commissioned in 1978 by City Ballet. The premiere took place May 18 that year at the New York State Theater, Lincoln Center.
