Trick My Truck is a television program on Country Music Television (CMT). Often compared to shows like Pimp My Ride and Monster Garage, Trick My Truck showcases the talents of several individuals who scour truck stops throughout the United States in search of drivers whose rides are in need of drastic help. A "Feel Good" Makeover Show, Trick My Truck is intended to better the lives of American truck drivers who are in need of a break. Through a lot of hard work, put in by the fabricators of Trick My Truck, the trucks of these deserving and hard-working drivers are altered, ultimately affecting not only their own livelihoods, but also that of their closest friends and family members. Trick My Truck has aired 50 episodes as of 2008.

[edit] Show Info
A group of seasoned, "badass" mechanics serve as the cast of this show, but Trick My Truck's main focus is the truck itself. The cast "steal" big rigs of lucky drivers and customize each one, turning dreams into reality. Recent seasons of the show have also featured pick-ups, dump trucks, and even an ice cream truck. Ratings for Trick My Truck are 187 percent higher than CMT's primetime average. In the first season, there were 70 million viewers. Trick My Truck is in the Top Five of all cable network shows in its time slot. In 2006, Trick My Truck's webpage generated over 25 million unique hits; tops for any CMT television show. CMT's most popular half-hour series returned May 16, 2008.
[edit] Press Release From Chrome Shop Mafia (Division of 4 State Trucks)
Chrome Shop Mafia (CSM) ended their support of Trick My Truck in 2007. Here is the press release from CSM:
4 State Trucks… Home of ChromeShopMafia, We Want To Thank You
On behalf of all of us here at 4 State Trucks…Home of ChromeShopMafia, we want to thank you for your past support of Trick My Truck. It has been quite an experience to be a part of this national television project! After 41 episodes and 3 successful seasons, 4 State Trucks has decided not to participate in future episodes. If a new season airs, you will see many new ‘cast’ members, as all but 2 members of the original cast have chosen not to be part of future episodes.
Several issues led to the decision for CSM not to continue with Trick My Truck.
• The show was drifting away from ‘big rigs’ and featuring more small trucks, pickups, service trucks, etc.
• CSM was concerned about the ‘quality’ of the work being performed. Many aspects of the ‘truck makeovers’ were out of our control and we will not jeopardize our reputation.
• CSM often had creative & styling differences with show management.
• Show management had begun to attempt to ‘direct’ 4 State Trucks/CSM as to which companies and vendors we could endorse, publicly associate with and perform work for.
• CSM does not approve of, or endorse the new TV series “Trick My Trucker”. In our opinion, it makes modern day truckers look ‘silly and ridiculous’. One of CSM’s main objectives this past few years is to promote the image of the trucker and the trucking industry in a positive and respectable way. This new TV show did not carry forth that message.
Our goal at 4 State Trucks/CSM is to offer the best selection and widest range of truck parts and accessories in the nation. We are committed to maintaining an inventory of quality products that allows us to achieve this goal! In conjunction with this effort, we also intend to promote the awareness of ‘custom trucks’ within our industry.
Even though this upcoming year appears to one of the ‘toughest’ for our industry, 4 State Trucks/CSM is fortunate to have many exciting projects and opportunities on the horizon! Our commitment to you is that we will continue to ‘exceed your expectations’ and promote your products in a manner that will be beneficial not only to 4 State Trucks, but for your company as well! If you continue to partner with us, you will never say, “ya’ know, those folks at 4 State Trucks really let me down, they didn’t live up to their promises, and they sure didn’t seem to have much concern for our opinion or our products”.
Here at 4 State Trucks/CSM, we are real-working America…not Hollywood. Let’s work together to continue building a more rewarding and profitable future!
Sincerely,
4 State Trucks, Inc…Home of Chrome Shop Mafia!
