The definitive history of Trinity Church in New York, at least to the end of the 19th century, is that of the Rev. Morgan Dix, who was eventually Rector of Trinity Church. Also, there was lots more to The Parish of Trinity Church than just Trinity and St. Paul's -- Trinity used to run chapels all over Manhattan. In some cases, the buildings have been sold to other denominations (I think the Serbian Orthodoxy is housed in one of them). In some cases they have been pulled down. In many cases, in the time of Dr. Parks, the XVth Rector, they were given a large sum as an endowment to keep the building up and then turned loose. --djenner 15:39, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
