[edit] New text

Just a pointer regarding Wikipedia: all our articles must be WP:NPOV--that is, espose a neutral point of view. That means that if you believe his music to be "astounding" or "supremely wonderful" (as many of us who have seen and heard him play believe) you can keep that in your heart but cannot state it in the article. You can, however, with citations, present the various honors that he has won and the innovations he has made in music. The article should not read like a press publicity biography, as the new text does.

Finally, when editing the article, please work in details that are already there rather than simply deleting all the previous information and substituting the new text. His work in contemporary music and composition for non-Indian instruments is quite significant, as other mridangam players generally don't do this, and this actually deserves its own section rather than being removed again and again. Thank you for your contributions and I hope this has helped. Badagnani 17:37, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] HTML break tags

Can this quote by User:Arvindvenkat be explained: (please do not change format for aesthetics sake, dont mess the page layout whoever is doing it !!!!!)? We don't use these kind of HTML tags at Wikipedia because they are unnecessary. If they are not explained here, they will be removed again. Otherwise, the article is getting quite good and thank you immensely for your contributions. Badagnani 15:33, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
