The Tremont Metro-North Railroad station serves the residents of the Tremont section of The Bronx via the Harlem Line. It is 7.9 miles (12.7 km) from Grand Central Terminal and is located in an open cut at the intersection of Park Avenue and East Tremont Avenue (East 177th Street). Service at Tremont is very limited; every 30 minutes peak hours, every two hours otherwise. This station (along with Melrose) is currently going through a station rehabilitation. Normally, when trains stop at this station, only the first car or first two cars open its doors.
This station is located in the Zone 2 Metro-North fare zone.
