Trecate is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 90 km northeast of Turin and about 9 km east of Novara. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 18,028 and an area of 38.4 km².[1]
The municipality of Trecate contains the frazione (subdivision) San Martino.
Trecate borders the following municipalities: Bernate Ticino, Boffalora sopra Ticino, Cerano, Garbagna Novarese, Novara, Romentino, and Sozzago.
