I voted! Wikipedia is too similar to Digg - people's edits get deleted without explanation, just like people's comments on Digg get buried or dugg down with no explanation. FranksValli (talk) 04:48, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Laserdisc

This movie was released on Laserdisc as well as VHS. Since Turner doesn't seem in a hurry to release this on DVD soon (if ever...), I'm trying to locate a copy to purchase so I can digitize this. I'm even willing to borrow a Laserdisc (if anyone is trusting), transfer it, and then return it. I'm sorry to post this here, but in the interest of preserving this film, I'm having a difficult time tracking down the best copy! FranksValli (talk) 04:48, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Good luck to you...please post what you find out...this is one of my favorite adventure movies (i really don't understand the negative reviews this Wiki article mentions; its surely the most realistic film interpretation of that classic novel...??) Engr105th (talk) 16:49, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

I found it listed on eBay and bought it! I just finished transferring it to my computer last night, and the picture and sound are fantastic!! It was definitely worth tracking this down.
