Trapunto quilting

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Trapunto quilting (Italian for "to embroider"), also called stuffed technique, is a quilting technique that is quite decorative in that it utilizes at least two layers, which is padded from the underside. This produces a raised surface on the quilt. This style originated in Italy in either the fourteenth century [1] or the sixteenth century. [2]
