The railway operator is National Railways of Zimbabwe.

narrow gauge: 3,077 km 1.067-m gauge (313 km electrified) (2002), 2,759 km 1.067-m gauge (313 km electrified; 42 km double track) (1995 est.) (because of unreliable power, the electrified section has been turned off in January 2008).

Recently, Zimbabwe had launched Autofamba (Plural:Maautofamba]] the highway network , and Autoruwendo the freeway network of Zimbabwe.
Mainly, Zimbabwe has poorly maintenanced roads, but an excellent road network. The roads are governed by Zimstrada, a subsidiary of Italy's Autostrada.
