[edit] Let's discuss Traycee
I have discussed this article with Traycee and she is very happy about having a Wikipedia article. In fact, she has made a few contributions to the article herself. The only problem I can see right now is the third party references to information contained within the article. What should we consider reliable third party sources? Do you all feel that IMDB is reliable? Would her official website be reliable? Are there any more suggestions on improving this article? Mike S. (talk) 10:58, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Jugenjury, and thanks for asking. Wikipedia does have established policies and guidelines about verifiability and reliable sources, as well as notability -- those articles are excellent places to start. The main issue with the article right now is that it does not establish Traycee's notability. This is because it does not reference any significant coverage in reliable, third party sources and does not assert that Traycee meets any of the additional criteria of notability for people. (IMDB is generally considered reliable, but not significant. Her website would be considered a questionable source, and would not count towards establishing notability.) Also note that editing an article about yourself is highly discouraged on Wikipedia. Jfire (talk) 16:42, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
