I have no problem with converting the templates, I do have a problem with converting the citations. WP:CITE calls for full citations, so please do not shorten them to not full citations as you did. Also, 2008-03-29 only works if you want to use the cite templates. Otherwise, again, spell it out and link it. The citation templates (which are only crutches used for making it easier to cite sources) simplify the "retrieved" date by allowing the editor to add it in the YEAR-MONTH-DAY numerical format, but it displays in whatever the user preference calls for, as does not using the template and entering it as February 28, 2008 or 28 February 2008 (which should look identical as you read this, but if you edit it you will see a difference). Just writing 2008-03-29 without any linking will display it only as 2008-03-29 no matter what a reader's preferences are set to. Aboutmovies (talk) 11:46, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
