[edit] Canals

I have edited this section, as whoever wrote it seems to think Birmingham is at the hub of the canals network in spite of it not being near a major river. It is precisely BECAUSE Birmingham is not near a major river that it was made the hub of the canal system! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.188.40.144 (talk) 09:57, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] M6 to London???

The M6 motorway terminates at Catthorpe (South-East of London), its the M1 that goes to London. That section needs tweaking! DannyM 17:58, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

The article says that it connects Birmingham to London and to Scotland - which is does, just not directly (since it runs to neither of these places).

I think you are confusing Catthorpe with Catford - the former is where the M1 and M6 join - near Rugby and so not that far from Birmingham.
