Talk:Transit fares
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In April, 2006, the MBTA, providing public transportation for the Boston area, proposed a large increase in fares, raising the main subway fare from US$1.25 to US$1.70.* While such a fare would be similar to other major transit systems in North America, many of which have been raising fares substantially since 1990, it would break the Boston area's fifty-year trend of transit pricing.
