[edit] Movie is a glory?
"When the toy line was released, it was supported by a comic book series from Marvel, an animated series and a gamut of other merchandising tie-ins. The crowning glory to its achievement was a 1986 feature film even though it performed disappointingly." Why is it a "glory" if it was a failure? The hugely successful toyline made a lot of money as did the TV show in its first couple of seasons while the movie was a box office flop with a a mere $5,849,647 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092106/business). As of 1990, Transformers toys made almost $950 million (http://www.seibertron.com/infozone/articles/index.php?action=view&article_id=39), and I am certain that number is much, much higher today. In 1985 alone the toy line made Hasbro $333 million.
[edit] List of G1
I know that there is already a list of Autobots and list of Decepticons pages, however I would like to know if anyone would be opposed to a Generation 1 list for this page which has both Autobots and Decepticons. It is a bit more compact and you can view it here Libro0 00:59, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] "UK"
Really, I hate whenever someone claims certain G1 toys are "UK" releases. So the toys available in stores in Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and other European countries, often available in packaging sporting different languages (but otherwise identical to the toys released in the UK) are insignificant? Or is that because this is the English Wikipedia, and thus anything released in the UK is automatically considered the "main" version, and whatever came out elsewhere is a postscript? I'd much prefer call those "European" releases, rather than "UK" releases.--87.164.89.95 (talk) 18:23, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
