I don't know enough about it to do it myself, but how about a section on the Transbay Tube fire in the 70s?


The notation that the Transbay Tube is the "deepest vehicular tunnel in the world" is taken from BART's tube history page, which was transcribed from materials written in the 1970s. Today, both the Seikan Tunnel in Japan and the Channel Tunnel are far deeper. This should be amended in the entry.
